Policies



 

Retainers: Retainers must be paid within 48 hours of the invoice being sent. If not paid within the 48 hours, your active pre-held day and time will not be held. Retainers are required on all sessions. Retainers hold your preferred day and time and insure I cannot and will not schedule someone else in that spot. In the event of a client cancellation, they are non-refundable. Retainers may be transferable depending on availability and scheduling on my behalf. ( More information on rescheduling below)  


 

Cancellation and Rescheduling: Cancellations must be done within 48 hours of the scheduled day and time of your session. If you cancel more than 3 times a year without a 48 hour notice, I reserve the right to no accept you as a future client. I understand things arise, but please notify me as soon as possible in the event something does occur. If we can get a date set up for you to reschedule the session, your retainer will be transferred for that day. It is up to you to reach out for a reschedule, I will not reach out for those. It must be done within 1 week of cancelled session for your deposit to be transferable.

 

Time Frame: Online galleries will only be active and available for download and viewing for 6 months past session date. After 6 months the images will be deleted. Please be cautious of this and download and backup your digital files before the 6 month mark. I do not archive raw images. And will not keep any edited images past 6 months in my hard drives, unless for marketing purposes (This will vary what images I keep from your session, if any).

 

Payment Plans: Payment Plans are available on all sessions. Retainers will still need to be paid within your 48 hour time frame to hold your preferred day and time. This retainer type will be lower than normal due to it being a payment plan option. Once again this retainer is non-refundable. As well as any money paid on a session, if an invoice goes unpaid. Once the retainer is paid, you will be billed weekly, on your preferred day, of an installment amount up until session day. Last payment due in person the day of your session. If an invoice isn't paid within the active invoice period, session will be considered canceled. All, if any, monies paid up to the point of no payment will not be refundable. Installment amounts vary due to time until session date and price of chosen session type. Once we talk, we can get specifics of this set up to see if its a good fit for you.


FAQ’s


 

When will my pictures be ready to view on my online gallery? I will have a session sneak peek up within two days of your session. Online albums will be completely ready to view within 2 weeks of your session, sometimes sooner.This does excludes weddings. Wedding albums will be available in their entirety within 6 weeks of the wedding date.

 

Do I own the copyright to my pictures? Copyright is something I get asked about often. Many times a copyright release and print/media release get confused as the same. Copyright means I am the creator and owner of the images,because I pushed the shutter button on my camera. Selling or obtaining the “copyright’ isn't possible. But you will have the ability to print and use all your images with a print and media release I sign for you.

 

When do I pay for my session?   Retainers are due within 48 hours of the initial booking via invoice. If not paid within the 48 hours, your session date and time will not be held any longer. On the other hand, once you pay the retainer your day and time will be solely yours. Please remember these retainers are non- refundable. The remaining balance is due at the beginning of your session, or when an invoice is sent for the payment plan option. Do you have gift certificates? Yes! Giving someone the gift of forever memories and moments is something I think is very important. Send me a message if you'd like to purchase one and send it to someone you love.

 

What is the referral program about and how do I sign up?  I try to keep it as simple as I can with the Referral Program. You are automatically signed up after you book your first session with me. You will get a stamp for every session you book, or wedding client you refer to me. Once you reach 10 stamps, you will receive a free mini session coupon. Information on this session type may be found on my ALP Lifestyle Session’s page. This coupon can be redeemed up to a year of stamped date of coupon. It's my way to say “Thank You” to all my clients and supporters.


What is the ambassador program? The Ambassador Program is designed to give clients the opportunity to do some light marketing in exchange for free photo sessions. This program has a year long cycle. At the beginning of each year applications for the Ambassador Program will reopen for that year. This program has no monetary gain to the ambassador.

 

What is the Birthday Club? The Birthday Club is just a fun way for me to send you a surprise in your email on your special day! I value all my clients, so I love to give back to them when I can. 

 

Do I get the raw unedited images?  Unfortunately, no. They are not available for viewing or purchase. This is like asking your chef at the restaurant to give you the leftover ingredients from the meal they had cooked for you. The images I select for editing and final delivery reflect the best images and everything else ,simply, isn't archived. Please rest assured, I will give you the best images of your session and edit them to my high standards.

 

Will my images have your watermark on them? The images in your online gallery will not have my watermark on them.The only time they will have my watermark on them, is if I am using the image for promotional purposes.

 

Can I extend my session if I think I need more time for shooting? I try not go by time limits on my sessions, but this doesn't mean the whole day is yours either. Once I feel like we get what we are after our session will be over. It's usually an hour or less.Since we schedule sessions out in advance, there will likely be someone scheduled after you. If that happens, there is simply no way to extend you session.

 

Can family and friends take pictures with their camera at our wedding? ​That is completely up to you, but it doesn't bother me one bit. I do ask thought, they don't swarm me doing my job, or hinder my services in any way. I don't allow family or friends to come along for bridal party and bride and groom solo shots, due to distractions. This is the time I really like them to just focus on each other. I actually encourage people to capture their favorite moments from your day, such as cutting the cake, first dances, flower toss etc, as long as I don't get pushed to the sideline and my presence is respected.
